Carbon black paste, is a use of carbon black toner, after surface treatment, wrapping, etc., and through a certain processing technology developed. Widely used in sealant, paper, cable material, color cement, rubber, leather, chemical fiber, paint, ink, wire, cable and other industries. It provides coloring, covering, reinforcement and some special properties. Carbon black paste can be divided into water-based carbon black, oily carbon black and water-oil general-purpose carbon black according to its different meltable base materials. According to its different performance mechanisms, it can be divided into conductive carbon black, carbon black for low rolling resistance and high performance tires, high purity carbon black, special carbon black for industrial rubber products, high pigment carbon black, grafted and modified carbon black, etc.
Carbon black color paste is difficult to disperse among all color pastes. Its huge specific surface area and oil absorption directly affect the color content of carbon black color paste, generally about 30%. At the same time, carbon black color paste is also a relatively large amount of all color paste. If all the traditional enterprises that use carbon black toner to color products and improve their performance are changed to carbon black color paste, I think the amount of carbon black color paste will occupy the first place in all color paste. According to very conservative data, the domestic market demand for carbon black will increase from 630000 tons in 2000 to 810000 tons, 970000 tons and 1.22 million tons in 2005, 2010 and 2015 respectively, with an average increase rate of 4.5. In fact, according to the current domestic use of carbon black, it has far exceeded this increase. However, only a small part of the carbon black toner is used after processing into color paste, and most of them use carbon black toner. It makes enterprises stay in the bad circular economy mode of "high consumption, high emission and low efficiency. If the toner is changed into color paste, it can not only save energy, reduce waste emissions, recycle resources, but also provide economic benefits for enterprises and improve product quality and market competitiveness.
Based on 630000 tons in 2000, the average amount of color paste processed into 30% color content should be: 630000 tons/30% = 200 million tons. In terms of the current production capacity of domestic color paste enterprises, it is still far from enough to produce carbon black color paste at full load 24 hours a day. Moreover, most of the enterprises that use carbon black toner cannot be replaced by color paste with the current domestic and international color paste technology. Such as the tire industry, the current is mainly the use of toner. The tire industry is still the main user of carbon black, and since it was discovered in 1912 that carbon black has a reinforcing effect on rubber, carbon black has gradually become an indispensable raw material for the rubber industry. At present, the consumption of raw materials in the world's rubber industry ranks first in raw rubber, and the second is carbon black. In other words, carbon black has become the largest rubber compounding agent in consumption. The consumption of carbon black generally accounts for 40% to 50% of the rubber consumption, that is to say, in the rubber formulation, 1 part of carbon black is usually used for every 2 parts of rubber. Its demand accounts for 2/3 of the total amount of carbon black. The average annual growth rate of carbon black for tires in the world is 4.2, and the consumption is expected to reach 7.1 million t by 2011. If we can start research on rubber carbon black such as tires and develop carbon black paste that meets the needs of rubber products such as tires and can improve the performance of their products, I think the market potential of this is very huge.
At present, there are not many large-scale color pulp enterprises in China, which are all small and medium-sized enterprises. They lack a high degree of understanding and investment in capital and technology in the research of color pulp, and basically stay at the simple processing and low-level processing level. And the lack of detailed research in major industrial processes. The produced carbon black color paste is generally used in paint, leather, a few latex products, PVC products, anti-static products, paper, art pigments, ink, chemical fiber and so on. Some large industrial projects or industries are not involved.
